Meeting called to Order at 6:30 PM with Vice President Janiece Robinson Officiating.

Introduction of members and visitors was called for.

Minutes of June 9th WPA meeting were read. Paula Jones made a motion to accept the minutes as read, seconded by Kim Raymond, motion carried.

Treasurers Report was read. Kim Raymond made a motion to accept the Treasurers Report, seconded by Paula Jones, motion carried.

Les gave a report on the Amanda 8 claim. His recommendation was that the WPA not buy Amanda 8. Discussion followed. Kim Raymond made a motion that the WPA not buy Amanda 8,seconded by Bert Nichols, motion carried.

Joyce Raymond reported that Attorney Nettabell Girard read the Membership Application and said it was legally acceptable as written and that the By Laws were fine the way they were written.

Randy Hutchison gave a report on claim assessments. He will put a form together and put it on the Web Page for members to copy so they can report which claims they have prospected on and other work they have done on the claim. They can then turn in the forms, which will make it far easier to keep up the BLM reports.

Election of Officers:

Nominations for President was called for. Les Armstrong nominated Jim Brines. Jim accepted the nomination. Louie Gillette made a motion that nominations be closed, seconded by Les Armstrong, motion carried. Jim was elected by acclimation.

Nomination for Vice President was called for. Eugene Raymond nominated Janiece Robinson. Randy Hutchison made a motion that nominations be closed, seconded by Kim Raymond, motion carried. Janiece was elected by acclimation.

Nominations for Secretary was called for. Paula Jones nominated Joyce Raymond. June Locker made a motion that nominations be closed, seconded by Paula Jones, motion carried. Joyce was elected by acclimation.

Nominations for Treasurer was called for. Kim Raymond nominated Deb Palmer. Randy Hutchison made a motion that nominations be closed, seconded by Les Armstrong, motion carried. Deb was elected by acclimation.

News Brief from the Board of Directors:

Two camp chairs were left at the Annual Outing, one red and one blue. They are in the Club’s trailer.

The Outing was a great success again this year. Everyone who attended seemed to have a good time, with campfire stories every evening.

Some pretty good Gold was recovered during the Common Dig. A big THANK YOU goes out to Randy Hutchison, Robert Jones and Carl Anderson for bringing the Ore.

For those of you who didn’t get to attend this year, you should have seen the Beautiful Nugget that Deana Shipper found. We have some pictures of it and they will be posted on the Web Site as soon as possible.

Metal Detecting competition was a lot of fun again this year. Adult First Place went to Charlotte Dobyns, Second Place went to Paula Jones, and Third Place went to Steve Hall. For the Younger folks (16 and under this year) First Place went to Courtney Raymond, Second Place went to Gailyn Sattlers’ Grandson Colten (Eugene forgot to get his last name), Third Place went to Emily Booth, a guest of Arron and Kim Raymond.

Everyone who has pictures taken at the Outing and want to share them can bring them to a meeting or burn them to a disk so Keith can put them on the Web Site.
